Rainfall situation

The establishment of the agricultural season is satisfactory in the regions. The spatial and temporal distribution of the rains is good. During the 3rd dekad of June, exceptional rains were recorded in Dori (Sahel region) and bogandé (Eastern region) with respective water heights of 117.7 mm and 102 mm. The seasonal rainfall accumulation on June 30 varied between 43.4mm in Djibo (Sahel region) and 298.9mm in Niankologo (Cascades region). Compared to the 1971-2000 normal, this accumulation is low to very low at the level of the rainfall stations of Ouagadougou, Boromo, Bobo-Dioulasso, Pô and Gaoua; similar to Niangoloko and Ouahigouya and surplus to Dori and Bogandé. The overall trend in rainfall activity is towards normalization from the 1st ten days of July.
