International Exhibition of Agriculture, Agricultural Machinery and Fisheries: Prime Minister Youssef CHAHED visits Burkina Faso exhibition stands

The Tunisian Union of Agriculture and Fisheries (UTAP) is holding the 14th edition of the International Exhibition of Agriculture, Agricultural Machinery and Fisheries (SIAMAP) from September 24 to 29, 2019 in Tunis. Guest country of honor, Burkina Faso is taking part. Its exhibitors who came to present shea butter, honey, tiger nut and sesame cookies, cashew nuts and woven loincloth were visited by Prime Minister Youssef CHAHED, making the official opening of the biennial. Burkina Faso’s participation in this event stems from the desire of the national authorities to provide the country’s businesses with a showcase for the marketing of their products and a networking platform on the international market. “Far from making immediate sales, our goal is to forge partnerships for future relationships,” said exhibitor Boukary ZIEBA, representative of the KARILOR company. “Building on the impressive dynamic that marked the 2015 and 2017 editions, SIAMAP has now established itself as the benchmark exhibition in the agricultural sector, in Tunisia, in Africa and in the Mediterranean area”, faith of the president of the demonstration, Ines Bessaad NAGARA. The organizers expect 600 exhibitors, 250,000 visitors and 30 foreign countries on an exhibition area of ​​20,000 m2. Several areas are devoted to animal husbandry, smart agriculture, water conservation, rural women, children, etc. In addition to the thematic discussions, a show jumping competition and animal competitions are on the program. Burkina Faso Day will be celebrated at the Le Kram Exhibition Center in Tunis on Thursday, September 26. In addition to the signing of an agreement between Burkina Faso and Tunisia in the agricultural field, the delegates will present investment opportunities in the country of upright men. Its culinary specificities will be discovered by the participants through a tasting of national dishes. On the first day of SIAMAP, artist Amity Meria and her musicians held visitors and other spectators enthralled by the band’s percussion and dance steps.
